The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines and the November 23 Movement – a coalition of media groups and organizations advocating for justice for the Ampatuan Massacre victims, will soon be commemorating the first year anniversary of the gruesome incident. The NUJP & N23M’s series of commemorative events not only wants the public to remember the Ampatuan Massacre but primarily also wants them to join our collective cry for justice so that this atrocious incident will never happen again.

To help promote the groups’ series of events for the commemoration, the NUJP & N23M is inviting you to a press conference at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, November 16, 2010 at Max Restaurant at #21 Scout Tuason, Brgy. Laging Handa Quezon City.

During the press conference, we will also launch our series of Public Service Ads for the commemoration week and other campaigns to invite the media community and the Filipino people to join us as we remember this horrible day in history and demand justice:

·    change FACEBOOK profile pictures to our specially designed logo
·    display BLACK cloths in the newsrooms / homes

We will also give a briefing on the series of activiies we have lined up for the commemoration in Metro Manila, Maguindanao and all over the country, which will culminate in major events on November 23, the first anniversary of the Ampatuan Massacre.
